Melamine is a tasteless, odorless and non-toxic organic chemical powder made primarily from urea. It is combined with formaldehyde and other agents to produce melamine resins which are used across a wide range of industries.
Uses and Application
- Plywood, MDF, floorings and laminates (also called sunmica or formica)
- Kitchenware and dinnerware such as plates, bowls and trays
- Industrial moulded goods for thermosetting plastics
- Adhesives and resins which are extra strong and water resistant
